Attimis, Faedis, Lusevera, Magnano in Riviera, Nimis, Povoletto, Reana del Rojale, Taipana and Tarcento: 9 municipalities united together in an area of strong naturalistic and cultural identity, with exclusive traits and qualities, rooted in the nature and history of the most easterly part of Italy at the centre of the New Europe.

Green plains, rolling hills and enchanting mountains which follow the flow of the clear waters from the Torre and Cornappo streams in the northern area of the Colli Orientali del Friuli.

In the centre of Nimis, at the heart of the Sweet North East, you will find the “Vetrina del Territorio” Cooperative, which besides being a well-stocked retail outlet where it is possible to purchase a wide selection of wines and high quality local products, also organises, upon reservation, tasting sessions and guided tours to discover the wine cellars and delicacies of the Sweet North East.

A land of strong flavours and prized native vines such as the refined Ramandolo DOCG from Nimis and Tarcento, the exhilarating Picolit DOCG from Savorgnano and the full-bodied Refosco DOC from Faedis.

So many flavours to be tasted: the beans and the lard from Platischis, the cold meats from Gradischiutta, the caciotta cheese from Raschiacco and Ravosa, the apple juices and the organic cornflours and buckwheats of Taipana and Pecolle, the renowned chestnuts from Magnano and Valle, the delicious honey and organic marmalades from the Orso Valley and from Reana del Rojale, the Pinza Tarcentina, Ramandorlini and Uessuz from Nimis (typical handmade biscuits for dipping into Ramandolo), the oils from Sedilis and Campeglio. A bellyful of specialities to be finished off in style by tasting the grappa and the spirits with authentic flavours from Povoletto and Nimis.

The “Vetrina del Territorio” Cooperative deals with the exclusive overseas promotion and marketing of its own members’ products, the benchmark for the Sweet North East’s export.
