Description
Valchiarò is a wine-growing and producing company located in the municipality of Torreano. It cultivates around 15 hectares of vineyards, with an annual production of 50,000 bottles, 50% of which are exported abroad (Austria, Germany, Holland, Belgium, USA, Canada...).
Production includes both the classic Friulian native (Friulano, Refosco, Verduzzo, Picolit) and international wines (Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet). For some years, in addition, it has also produced an excellent extra-virgin olive oil, which is now available for purchase.
Valchiarò relocated three years ago to Togliano, following the construction of a wine cellar allowing for the use of the best technology and, at the same time, the exploitation of the local natural features: the barrel-aging room located in the cellar is, in fact, naturally aired, thanks to the spring water which flows all around the perimeter of the building."
