Church of St.Giovanni Battista - Pontebba

The church, which was built in 1368 originally had a large pronaos on the outside. The bell tower, of enormous proportions, has a characteristic onion dome of Carinthian tradition. The building has gothic elements in the apse and preserves a few baroque marble altars. A wooden statue of St. John the Baptist with Jesus is located on the main altar, a statue of the Sacred Heart is on the right-hand altar and a statue of the Virgin Mary on the left-hand altar. In a niche on the external pediment is a statue of St.  John.
