Kobarid
Despite being a scene of action in the First World War, Kobarid is a well-preserved little Alpine town that is the site of the European Museum of the First World War. Running through it is the Nadiza river, credited with possessing healing properties. Kobarid is known above all as the place where the world’s kayak enthusiasts come together to challenge each other. It is also a gastronomic pearl, where old recipes live on with a modern flavour. It is here that you will find the Dreznica masked characters that embody the spirit of carnival.
