The Shelter is in the  Jof di Montasio range in the locality  of Piani del Montasio  at an altitude of 1660 m in the municipality of Chiusaforte (UD). It was built in  1969  and has 17 beds.  The construction is in brickwork and rises from a square, supported by a dry wall; the balcony is closed and is made of wood.  The inside is arranged simply with a room, with a kitchen and the stairwell annexed to it.  The recent extension towards the east has given the Shelter a welcoming dining room that is completely wainscotted and room for the manager. The bathrooms are on the outside.  The kitchen has wooden tables and about twenty chairs, whereas other table, benches and chairs are used outside.
