Climbing the mountains in remembrance and taking a look at history During the World War, right on the edge of the ridges of many peaks of the Julian Alps, was the front-line. Up there, the Italian and Austrian-Hungarian fronts faced each other. Many are the signs - like scars and indelible wounds impressed on these mountains - of that "storm": tracks, trenches, caverns, shelters, galleries, remains of cableways, traces of small cemeteries up high, etc. So these are the special historical itineraries offered to the excursionist, selected out of those that are the most interesting. Hence you can visit the remains and evidence, that is sometimes rather touching and significant. Work that will undoubtedly stir amazement and surprise in remembrance of that particular, tormented and dramatic period.
