The agane are mythical female figures who jealously guard their skills in spinning and similar arts. They sit on boulders that they come across on their travels, especially near streams, where they challenge passers-by with riddles and predict the future. The trail is dedicated to them, and to the food plants: hops, asparagus, sorrel, nettles, which can all be used as ingredients in delicious meals.
